Welcome Back PTA Committee Chairs and Cochairs

Happy 2022/2023 School year!

As we are preparing for this school year we wanted to reach out and Thank all our hard working committee chairs and co-chairs! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!

Each person is so important to help the PTA run successfully and provide the best year for our students. We are so happy you have committed your time to these committees and we could not do it without you!

We are including some information in this email to help your job go as smoothly as possible this year. Please save this email and/or attachments for reference as the year goes on.

We are trying some new forms this year to help streamline information. We are hoping these forms can help with organization, limit repeat questions, and be passed on to future chairs/co-chairs. Please take a few minutes to review them, print them, and put them in your binders. (If your committee doesn’t have a binder and you need one, please reach out)

A few reminders:

  • Please try to be available at the PTA meeting before and after your event. Membership should get a brief description of your event and a wrap up of how it went. Obviously we’d love to see you at all the meetings, but understand that’s not always possible 🙂
  • All Flyers need to be approved by the Superintendent, Building principles and the PTA executive board. Please try to get this out 45 day prior to distribution.
  • Please CC the President and/or Vice president on communications to the school. This helps us stay on top of what is going and limits the amount of questions we have to ask you.  win – win, lol. Please do this!
  • Please communicate with the Treasurer. She will need time to prepare advances and reimbursements. She is not always available the day of your event. Contact her when you begin to plan so she has a time frame to have your checks approved, written and signed. All PTA checks have to be signed by multiple board members.
  • Budget increases have to be approved by the executive board then membership, therefore the increase must be presented at least 45 days in advance. Since membership will need to vote on the increase at a meeting.
  • We have a whole closet full of supplies! Before you purchase supplies for your committee please reach out to Laura to see if we already own it! We have games, craft supplies, office supplies and more.

The following Forms are located on the Forms and Documents page on the website:

  • Building Usage Form, only needed if your committee requires access to the school for a period of time. This form needs to be approved by the school’s business office, please send it in at least 45 day prior to your event.

  • Committee Timeline
  • Committee Form
  • School Calendar
