September 2023 Meeting Summary
Hello to all of our Members,
First, I want to thank everyone who was able to come to the meeting! I know how busy we all are with running kids to activities, so I completely understand when people cannot attend. I am hoping to send a meeting summary following each meeting with the important information we discuss and any volunteer sign up sheets that were passed around at the meeting.
One of our big events we are preparing for is Purse Bash. We had Sponsorship Letters available at the meeting, so if you know a local business or have one yourself we would be happy to email you a copy of that to try and get more donations for the event. The first official ticket sale day will be at Donuts with your Darling (the revamped “Muffins in the Morning” event) on Saturday, November 4, 2023. Our big incentive for early tickets will be that you get reserved seating! This reserved seating perk will be available all of November!
We will be collecting food pantry donations at both the Todd Lane and Center Grange Open Houses! Todd Lane Open House is on Thursday, September 28th and Center Grange is on Thursday, October 12th. A flyer will be going home with the specific items that are needed for the CV HS Food Pantry. Our table to collect donations will be set up near the book fair location! The book fair will also be open for shopping during both Open Houses! If you have questions please reach out to Cassy Stone at [email protected].
We still have open committee positions for Penguin Patch, Center Grange Grand Finale, and Todd Lane Event Day. If you are interested please reach out to Lisa Lindner at [email protected].
Our membership drive is going very well! We have lots of classes that are tied to win! Don’t forget to sign up your grandparents, friends, and family so your child can get more numbers for their classroom for their prize! Spirit Wear is due TODAY, September 20th ! Pick up is on Thursday October 19th. If you would like to volunteer with helping at pick up please reach out to Shannon Gaul at [email protected].
One item on the agenda I mistakenly forgot to discuss is the Nominating Committee. This committee process is started in September. These are the 3 people who will run the election for the spring. If anyone is interested please contact me at [email protected]. The process for creating this committee is anyone who volunteers will be presented at the October General Meeting and then General Membership will vote at the November General Meeting!
