1. General Communication Preferences
- Email: The primary method for formal updates, questions, and requests to the Executive Board and committee members.
- Monthly Meetings: Use committee reports and meeting time to raise ongoing needs, share progress, or ask for board input.
- Urgent Matters: Reserve texts or phone calls for time-sensitive issues only (e.g., something that affects an event happening within 24–48 hours).
- Respect Response Time: Executive Board members are volunteers with jobs and families. Please allow a reasonable window (48–72 hours) for replies to non-urgent matters.
- Bundle Communications: Whenever possible, combine questions or updates into one message instead of sending multiple separate messages. Please refrain from sending multiple daily texts, calls, or emails for non-urgent matters. It slows down response time and can cause unnecessary stress.
- Assume Positive Intent: Remember, everyone is working toward the same goal—supporting our students and school community!
2. Points of Contact
- President: For overall PTA matters, approvals, or policy clarifications.
- Treasurer: For budget, funds, or reimbursements.
- VP of Fundraising / VP of Committees/Membership Chair: For guidance on your specific committee’s scope.
- Secretary: For meeting minutes, official documentation, or bylaws.
